Model FOM1-DRx Single Microphone Driver-battery powered

Operation of the FOM1 fiber optic microphone requires a source to launch unmodulated to the microphone and a detector to convert the returned, audio modulated light to an electrical audio signal. These functions are provided in a convenient package by the Model FOM1-DR fiber optic microphone drivers:

The Model FOM1 -DR control unit operates off three removable C-cell batteries. The C-cell batteries can be either primary cells (alkali recommended and included) or rechargeable cells. Rechargeable cells (NiMH recommended) are charged in suitable external chargers available separately. The Model FOM1-DRx also has a jack for optional operation off a wall AC source using an external AC/DC power pack. The power pack is not included with this unit and must be ordered separately.
